St Catherine’s Lottery is a member of the Hospice Lotteries Association and is proud to support the Responsibility In Gambling Trust.

In 2022 a total profit of £455,542 raised by the lottery (including the car and Christmas raffles) was spent directly on funding the services provided by St Catherine’s Hospice Lancs Ltd, which provides free care and support to local patients and their families. For every £1 paid to play our weekly lottery – 54 pence went directly towards providing patient care; 19 pence was spent on prizes and 27 pence on promoting and running the lottery.

For every £1 paid to enter our car raffle – 59 pence went directly towards providing patient care; 31 pence was spent on prizes and 10 pence went towards promoting and printing costs. For every £1 paid to enter our Christmas raffle – 69 pence went directly towards providing patient care; 18 pence was spent on prizes and 13 pence went towards promoting and printing costs.

Each week winners are randomly selected by our Random Number Generator on the computer.  There is a 1 in 14479 chance of winning a prize based on figures for 2022 but will vary depending on players in the draw each week.
