Most of our shops rely on donations from members of the public for their stock and we always need clean, saleable items in good condition that people will want to buy.
We’re grateful to everyone that takes the time to sort through their wardrobe or their home to donate to St Catherine’s but it’s important to remember that we’re looking for items that still have some life left in them. Please only donate items that are in usable condition: we don’t expect everyone to have a cupboard full of designer labels to give us but please be mindful that anything that isn’t saleable has to be disposed off responsibly and that actually costs money…..money that would be better spent helping our patients.
If you have a donation for our Donation Centre, you can find us at:

There are several ways in which to donate to the shops. You can bring your donation straight into the shop where it will be sorted, priced and put out for sale.
Alternatively, you can bring it to our Donation Centre here at the Hospice where we operate a drive in – drop off service Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm. Here, we can accept clothing and shoes, bric a brac, textiles, mobile phones, books and printer cartridges and are now also accepting metal, paper and card for recycling. More details about what we can and can’t accept are here.
To discuss collection of bulky or heavy donations please call 01772 378228.
Another great way to help is by organising a donation event or holding a donation party in your home. We can supply posters to help you publicise your event, so why not organise one at your workplace, school or community group.
We can even help you make your donation work harder to help St Catherine’s Hospice by enabling you to Gift Aid it. If you’re a UK tax payer, we can claim an extra 25p for every pound we make from your donation. All you have to do is complete a form when you donate and we will do the rest. You can also download the form here if you’d like to fill it out in advance. We’ll even give you a Gift Aid ‘Card for Life’ when you sign up with a unique donor ID which we can simply scan every time you donate to us.
